Fun on the 4th

We had a great 4th of July. Several friends and family attended the 3rd annual Craig and Kevin Firework display. We all gathered around 5:30 p.m. for some really great food on the grill (yum, I love to cook-out). With the rain moving out and the arrival of dark (about 9:30p.m.) Craig and Kevin began the wonderful firework display. It is so fun to watch the two of them, they are like a couple of kids...they have a blast (hehe)! I think next year they are going to move the show to the hill beside our house...so, all of Limestone should be able to see the fireworks.

July is always a busy month...we are getting ready for the Marshall County Fair. Brooke is spending all her extra time in the barn...her schedule isn't busy enough with market animals, work, cheerleading practice, and softball games...she has decided to participate in the Queen pageant at the fair, so she now has pageant practice on Monday's and Wednesday's at 7.

Tell Brooke that she's going to have to work really hard to win that pageant, because I'm entering. And I'm pretty sure I'm a shoe in.

Seriously though, it sounds like Summer is in full swing for you in a way that it never gets for other people. You make me want to live on land, and have a barn, and send my friends over a hill on a psycho horse.
